Sparklers for reluctant readers - easy to read...hard to put down

An exciting series of high interest chapter books specially written for Guided Reading in the Literacy Hour for reluctant readers. Designed to complement existing reading schemes, each of the 4 sets consist of 8 levelled, humurous books, with teacher's material to support the texts.

Within each level, the titles become progressively more challenging; the final title acts as the assessment title for that level
Teaching Guides contain comprehensive activity material and Guided Reading sessions for each book
Opportunities for children to practise and improve their reading skills and make the move to longer chapter books.

Readers

In addition to fast-paced and high interest storylines, each title includes a contents page, character synopsis, glossary and orientation map. One book at each level is an Assessment book, designed to be read by the whole class.
